Nino Bitton, oud maestro and Jerusalem legend, has been teaching the best musicians the finer points of Andalusian music for years. Those fortunate enough to have studied with him play in the leading orchestras and ensembles in Israel and abroad, and his special arrangements and the medleys he composed are taught in music academies all over the country. The special tribute will be attended by his students, who will perform the original arrangements and the twisting and racing melodies that Bitton wrote over the years. The show combines Algerian classical music, Moroccan Sha`abi, Arab-Andalusian repertoire and the best of Maestro Bitton’s work: sounds that can only be heard in Jerusalem.
