Wassim Odeh, oud virtuoso, composer and musical educator, launches his fourth album in a debut performance at the Oud Festival. Odeh’s works are based on classical Arabic music, the maqamat, Arabic rhythms and the improvisational ability of the five elite performers in the ensemble. Odeh, one of the foremost creators in the Arab music world, has received international awards for performance and composition. He has collaborated with numerous international artists including oud master Simon Shaheen, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, the London Symphony Orchestra and Radiohead. Odeh will present his recent works, demonstrating his unique and colorful musical expression.
