A first collaboration and special original performance for the Oud Festival: vocalist Mika Karni and vocal artist Victoria Hanna present texts from the original sources that draw on maternal and feminine power, in a show entirely marked by the mothers’ prayer for their children. Karni and Hanna, both creative mothers with a unique and personal musical language, draw upon their life journeys in the show, performing their own prayer, raising their voices to the heights, hoping to awaken the power of mercy in these painful and difficult days. Karni and Hanna will be accompanied by a quartet of string players and a percussionist and host singer-songwriter Aviva Avidan.
Mika Karni vocals, violin, production and musical management; Victoria Hanna vocals, production and musical management; Aviva Avidan special guest; Avner Kelmer, arrangements for string instruments; Oshi Masala vocals; String Quartet: Tali Goldberg, violin; Hagar Maoz, violin, Shuli Waterman, viola; Hila Epstein, cello; Noa Vax, percussion
