The classical guitar artist and composer Liat Cohen launches her new show, Abraham’s Children, another chapter in her fruitful international career at the Oud Festival. Cohen hosts French oud player Pierre Baillot, Brazilian percussionist Edmundo Carneiro and coloratura soprano vocalist Efrat Rotem. The show weaves well-known melodies of traditional songs, inalienable assets of the ancient musical traditions of the Mediterranean basin (Italy and Spain, Andalusia and North Africa), which found a common denominator upon their encounter in Israel. This is a sensual journey in time and space that evokes possibilities of hope and peace.
