Confederation House hosts an evening devoted to works in Juhuri (Judaeo-Tat), the language of the Jews of the northern and eastern Caucasus. Juhuri has a rich heritage of a broad variety of literary, theatrical and artistic works. Writing and creativity in this language continue thanks to talented poets and writers belonging to this community in Israel and abroad. The event, being held as part of the annual Juhuri celebration, organized in cooperation with the Aharon and Rachel Dahan Center for Culture, Society & Education in the Sephardic Heritage and the STMEGI Foundation, presents a selection of contemporary works in Juhuri dealing with childhood memories from the Caucasus, ancient customs and ceremonies, and daily life in Israel. Works by the writers Farida Yusepov, Roza Mordechayev-Danilov, Bat-Zion Abramov, Sarah Rahmani (Lazarov) and Shabtai Agronov will be read, accompanied by Hebrew subtitles.
